Desert Dweller | web developer

Hello! My name is Duncan Geil and I am a web developer.

Check out my latest project:

It is a 3D art gallery for a fantastic graphic designer and firefighter who happens to be my brother.

The print and t-shirt shop is coming soon along with additional VR features.

My journey into programming began with a desire to make strange music in a modern way. I did the only reasonable thing and began purchasing micro-controllers and micro-processors and reading books about Python, C, and Max/MSP/Jitter to connect the world of live streaming data with that of absurdist music theory. The philosophers and musicians John Cage, Laurie Anderson, Conlin Nancarrow and Pauline Oliveros would likely be disappointed by the results of their inspiration but here is the link to the album.

When I blew out my knee doing brazilian jiu jitsu and was stuck on a couch for a couple of months my Python programming experience led me to the world of IoT where I began using the previously mentioned micro-processors to build weather controlled lamps and point lazers with old VCR remote calculator watches.

A desire to help build connections for real people and businesses over the internet led me to start working with HTML, CSS, JavaScript and Django. What can I build for you?

I live in the Sonoran desert with my wonderful wife. We are building a small geodesic dome home from Natural Spaces Domes. I host a local jiu jitsu club.

I hope your business card website will mean more contacts for you; it could mean a front door for me. Your online store could increase your sales; it could help me get electricity. Please contact me at me@duncangeil.com with all your web development needs. Twenty percent of my fees will be donated to Habitat for Humanity
